Founded in 2000, Kennesaw Mountain High School Bands have established a reputation for artistic excellence and innovation. Kennesaw Mountain’s band program consists of three concert ensembles (Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Concert Band), an award-winning Marching Band, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Chamber Ensembles, Pit Orchestra, and Winter Guard. Performing at multiple concerts, festivals, and competitions each year, the band curriculum focuses on developing students’ musicianship, instrumental skills, and leadership.

Calling all rising 9th graders who are heading to Kennesaw Mountain HS. Find out what the Band life is. Concerned about juggling academics and Band? come, speak with students who not just juggle, but, excel at Academics, Band and several other extra-curricular activities.
 
Parents, meet other parents and ask them how Band has helped their kids adjust and thrive at High School.

The busy Spring continues. Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Band perform on 4/28 at 7 PM. Get that Rhythm & Swing going.

 

 

April 18, 2025. 6:00 PM - Band Movie Night

On Friday, April 18, step into the Kennesaw Mountain Band room for movie night with your Band family. All current & prospective Band and Guard members are invited. 6 PM.
 

 

April 05, 2025 - WGI World Championships

What a season, what a run! Our Varsity Winter Guard team closed out the season with a strong run to the finals. They were one of only 20 teams out of over 125 teams to make the Finals. They performed 3 times over 2 days and finished the Finals just outside the top 10. We are incredibly proud of the dedication of this team. We are also thankful for our Directors and Guard Staff for helping us capitalize on these opportunities.

Congratulations to Edie Sanders on being selected to participate in the 2025 GA Governors Honors Program. Edie went through a lengthy application and audition process. Of course, we expected nothing less from Edie ;-) Here at Kennesaw Mountain, we are thankful for the dedication of our Directors and sectionals staff for providing such wonderful opportunities to our students. Congratulations to Talal Jean-Louis for winning the GMEA Composition Competition. Talal premiered his composition Rippling Thoughts at the GMEA In-Service on January 31st at The Classic Center in Athens, GA.
 
 
  

October 12, 2024

Congratulations to the Band for taking home top honors at the Bands of America Southeastern Regional in Birmingham, AL on October 12th. The Band also competed at the Bands of America Orlando regional and placed Second in Class AA and Fourth Overall.
